Customer Rules of Conduct

 

The owners and operators of Red Bridge Roller Rink are aware of our responsibility to the community to maintain a respectable place of fun and entertainment.  Our rules of conduct and dress are dictated by common sense and good taste and are strictly enforced.

Customers should remember that roller skating is a strenuous and fast moving sport.  By putting on skates and participation in this form of recreation you are personally assuming the risk of an accident inherent in this and any similar sport.  It is in the nature of this recreation that people fall down or run into one another on occasion.  If you are not willing to assume that risk, please do not roller skate here at Red Bridge Roller Rink.  If you doubt your ability to roller skate, please consider this notice before proceeding onto the floor.  We can not be responsible for any injuries which occur to our customers while they are present in this facility.

If you feel that your rental skates are defective or inappropriately adjusted please return them to the skate room immediately.

 

We seek only customers who wish to comply with these rules:

 

  • On Friday and Saturday Night Sessions skaters ages 17 and under are NOT allowed to leave the skating rink prior to 9:45pm without and adult.  In other words, the kids are not allowed to leave the rink unless a parent or guardian comes inside the rink for pickup.  (Exception:  Licensed drivers who have driven to the rink to skate)

  • On Friday and Saturday Night Sessions all skaters, except parents of skaters, must where skates until 9:30 pm.

  • Customers will conduct themselves as ladies and gentlemen at all times.

  • All customers will be neatly and cleanly dressed.

  • For skaters less than 18 - the following articles of clothes are NOT permitted:  tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, spaghetti strap blouses, fish net shirts, open back shirts/blouses, shirts/blouses that show bare stomachs, short shorts, pants worn below the hip, chains worn on the outside of pants, pants with metal riveted or attached to the outside of the pants

  • Proper attire is always subject to management's approval.

  • For skaters less than age 18 - Nothing is to be worn on your head (hats, bandannas, sweat bands, combs, etc.).

  • Other items not to be taken on the skate floor are:  toys, food, or any item that may end up on the floor causing a tripping hazard.

  • Skaters less then 18 - In/Out privileges to the rink are forbidden and loitering anywhere on the Red Bridge property will not be permitted.  When you leave, you must leave the property.

  • Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or anyone under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs will not be permitted anywhere on the Red Bridge property.  Violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law..

  • Inappropriate language/cursing will not be tolerated at any time.

  • Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere inside the rink.  Adults who feel they must smoke or vape should do so away from the front doors.

  • Gum chewing is not allowed.

  • Management is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.  Skaters should use lockers provided or keep personal item in locked skate boxes.

  • Skaters must keep all food and drinks inside the snack bar.

  • No outside food or drinks are allowed to be brought into the rink.

  • Parents of skaters are always welcome to visit at no charge, however siblings or others under 18 are required to pay admission and skate rental.

  • Alcoholic beverages, illegal substances or anyone under the influence of these products will not be permitted on the skating rink property and the appropriate authorities will be notified.

  • No weapons of any kind are allowed on the rink property, including but not limited to;  knives of any size, open flames, firearms, any type of explosive material, personal lasers, etc.

  • Management reserves the right to inspect lockers, skate cases or bags and/or handbags before entering or before leaving the building.​

  • Management reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any customer without refund.

Skating Rules

  • Fast/reckless skating, weaving in/out, tag play, chasing, pushing, or skating in a manner that may jeopardize the safety of others will NOT be tolerated.

  • Skaters must skate a reasonable speed.  If you are passing more skaters than are passing you, slow down.

  • Skaters should report all injuries to management regardless of severity.

  • Skaters are requested to report any conditions that they believe may jeopardize anyone's safety.

  • Skaters must not carry children while on skates.

  • Bullying will NOT be tolerated at any time. 

  • Skaters are not allowed to sit on walls, railings, tables or counters.

  • Once on the skating floor, skaters must not stop or stand unless in the middle of the floor well inside the painted black line.

  • Skates that are designed for a toe or heel stop must contain usable stops or toe plugs.

  • Wheels must be clean and suitable for the skating surface.  Skates used outside must be inspected prior to use.

  • All skaters who rent skates must wear socks.

  • Skaters are requested to tuck shoe laces inside the rental skates prior to returning them to the skate room.

Music Policy

 

Music requests are accepted during most sessions, however the following guidelines have been set so that we may maintain an atmosphere fit for all ages.  Every effort will be made to play a wide variety of music so that everyone will hear something they enjoy.

 

     Red Bridge will NOT play any of the following:

  • Obvious sexual overtones or messages

  • Songs that promote drugs/alcohol

  • Songs which glorify rebellion, violence or gang related activity

  • Profanity or other language we would not allow from our customers

  • Hard core rap or metal songs
